The summer is more than halfway over, but the festivities are still going in Blade & Soul! The Dawn of Darkness release brings back a refreshing event from the past and offers two more events relevant to the recent content. Let’s take a tour of these events running from August 10 through September 14!

The Frozen Vipercap Cavern

Is there a better place during this hot summer than a frozen cavern? But be careful. Like any good summer movie, there’s a catch. It turns out that collecting Golden Vipercaps is a lucrative business until you put them in a cold environment.

How to get there

This story starts when you receive a letter from Anzhi, who manages the Vipercap Cavern. Hit [J] to open the Quest Journal, and you’ll find the missive in the Quest Letters tab, under the “Silverfrost Mountains: Frozen Vipercap Cavern” section. You can then join Anzhi on the north side of Jadestone Village, and he will explain why your help is needed once more.

You will then proceed by entering the cavern where you must evade or defeat a series of angry mushrooms until you reach the Giant Golden Vipercap. Defeat this boss to stop the disaster and help Anzhi return to his profitable days. Be quick before the treasure gets depleted!

If you’re in a hurry or feeling adventurous, you can access the Frozen Vipercap Cavern via the Cross-Server Lobby. Just hit the [F8] key, join a team, and defeat the giant mushroom together!

Rewards

You can complete the daily and dynamic quests for guaranteed rewards. But beware! Thieves are trying to loot the treasure chest, so rewards from the dynamic quest increase depending on your completion time:

Your completion time will also determine the kind of chest you can bid on when you defeat the boss:

• Over 300 seconds, you can bid on a Basic Vipercap Chest that rewards x1 Snow Shoes.
• Between 240 and 300 seconds, you can bid on an Advanced Vipercap Chest that grants the following rewards:

• Under 240 seconds, you can bid on a Grandmaster Vipercap Chest that rewards x5 Snow Shoes and x1 Bountiful Crystal Box.

The Bountiful Crystal Box you obtain from a fast completion of this dungeon will grant the following rewards:

At this point, you must be wondering what you’re going to do with all the Snow Shoes you will get from exploring the Frozen Vipercap Cavern. Visit the Dragon Express to exchange them for the following items:

Solak Fever

During the event period, the Solak Region will be bustling with exciting activities. The new solo dungeon— Shrouded Ajanara— will be at the top of this list! See our preview in this news post.

To celebrate this release, the daily quest rewards for all dungeons of the Solak Region will be doubled. This includes Circle of Sundering, Spectral Shrine, Sanctum of the Masters, Den of the Ancients, and Shrouded Ajanara.
