This solo dungeon arrives with the Celestial Dawn update on June 20.

Sungi, a monk from Ajanara Monastery, has contacted you about a prophecy passed on to him from Grandmaster Nayul. His vision said that the monks "would be graced by a great warrior—one who was powerful, but one who also needed their guidance on their path to Enlightenment." After hearing of your extraordinarily heroic actions, Sungi realizes that you’re the one he must help by guiding you through the Circle of Sundering.

Circle of Sundering

  • Solo Heroic dungeon
  • Recommended for Level 55 – HM 16
  • Players will need to have finished Act 8 Chapter 20: Restorations

Within the Circle of Sundering you’ll be confronted by your past, and challenged by the manifestations of your innermost thoughts. Should you emerge on the other side victorious—and having avoided falling into madness like so many before you—you’ll emerge even stronger.

The Circle of Sundering is a solo dungeon with its own rewards as well as weekly and seasonal rewards. Inside you’ll face four challenges that represent your Greed, Rage, Fears, and Goals. Each of these will be represented by characters from your past, including a surprising and emotional appearance from Master Hong himself.

Quests and Rewards

You’ll begin the Circle of Sundering questline from the “Full Circle” quest delivered to you automatically by letter from Sungi. You’ll want to keep coming back to the Circle of Sundering to complete the daily quest “Sundered Reflections” to receive 2 guaranteed Tranquility Emblem Fragments and a Circle of Sundering Reward Chest, which contains various consumables, as well a chance at an additional Tranquility Emblem.

Tranquility Emblems are a currency specific to the Circle of Sundering, and can be created by combining 10 Tranquility Emblem Fragments. Defeating each boss has a chance to give you 1 Tranquility Emblem Fragment, in addition to other rewards like the Remembrance Necklace, which can be used to upgrade your Hellion Necklace to the PvP oriented Skysunder Necklace. Master Hong, being the final challenger, also has a chance to drop the Inner Fire costume and adornment, and always drops a Sundered Shadow Treasure Chest—which has a chance to contain upgrade materials or 100 gold.
